01Core Privacy Philosophy

At Datum Dynamics ("we", "us", or "our"), we believe your personal financial data belongs solely to you. Unlike traditional financial apps that mandate cloud account creation, harvest bank credentials, or sell transaction histories to advertisers, FlowCash operates as a 100% offline-first application.

Summary in Plain English: We do not operate central user database servers for your ledger, we do not require account logins, we do not track your financial transactions, and we never sell or share your financial records with data brokers.

02Information You Enter in FlowCash

All data processed by FlowCash is created and controlled locally by you on your device, including:

  • Financial Ledger & Transactions: Payee names, transaction amounts, dates, custom category tags, notes, and user-assigned bank labels (e.g. Barclays, Lloyds, Monzo, Cash).
  • Recurring Bills & Subscriptions: Due dates, recurring intervals, bill amounts, and custom reminders.
  • Custom Preferences: Chosen display currency (from 111+ global currencies), custom symbols, and theme preferences (Dark, Light, or Pink).
  • Imported Records: Local CSV and XLSX spreadsheets that you manually choose to import into your ledger.

No Direct Bank Scraping: FlowCash does not connect to Open Banking APIs, does not collect bank account logins or passwords, and does not initiate automated financial transfers.

03100% Offline-First Architecture

Your financial records are saved directly to your device's local sandboxed encrypted storage (via SQLite, IndexedDB, or OS secure storage). The application functions fully without an active internet connection.

Because there is no remote server database storing your financial records, Datum Dynamics has no access to your ledger, account balances, or transaction details.

04Optional Cloud Vault Sync (Dropbox)

FlowCash includes an optional Cloud Backup & Sync feature for users who wish to back up their data across their personal devices:

  • Direct User-to-Storage: If enabled, FlowCash communicates directly with your personal Dropbox storage via the official Dropbox OAuth API.
  • Private Vault File: Backup data is saved solely into your private Dropbox app folder (/flowcash_cloud_vault.json).
  • Zero Datum Dynamics Intermediary: Backup files are transferred directly between your device and your personal Dropbox account without ever passing through Datum Dynamics servers.

05Subscriptions & In-App Purchases

FlowCash offers an optional FlowCash PRO upgrade. Payment processing and billing are handled entirely by the respective app platform stores:

  • Apple App Store: For iOS and macOS purchases, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and standard In-App Purchase terms.
  • Google Play Store: For Android purchases, governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • RevenueCat: We utilize RevenueCat to securely validate subscription receipts and manage entitlement status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier and purchase receipt tokens to verify active PRO status. RevenueCat does not receive your transaction entries, bank names, or financial ledgers.

06Third-Party Services & Analytics

We do not embed third-party advertising SDKs or behavioural trackers. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your information.

If you contact support via email, we use your email address solely to reply to your inquiry and resolve your technical questions.

07Data Control, Export & Deletion (GDPR & CCPA)

Under global data protection regulations including the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA, you have absolute control over your information:

  • Complete Data Export: You can export your full transaction ledger anytime into standard spreadsheet-ready CSV or Excel (.xlsx) files via Settings → Data Management.
  • Instant Data Deletion: You can permanently wipe all locally stored transactions, bills, and settings by selecting "Wipe All Data & Reset" in the Settings menu, or by uninstalling the application from your device.
  • Cloud Backup Deletion: If you used the optional Dropbox sync, you can delete your backup file directly from your personal Dropbox account at any time.

08Device & Storage Security

Because all data remains on your physical hardware, your data security is safeguarded by your operating system's native sandboxing and hardware encryption (such as Apple Secure Enclave, Android Keystore, and Windows BitLocker). We strongly encourage maintaining strong device passcodes and biometric security.

Datum Dynamics does not provide certified financial planning, tax accounting, legal, or investment advice. You are solely responsible for verifying your financial figures, calculations, and financial decisions.

Limitation of Liability: Software is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind. Datum Dynamics shall not be liable for any financial decisions made, inadvertent data loss due to device damage or deletion, or discrepancies resulting from manual user data entry.

10Children's Privacy

FlowCash is intended for general audiences (ages 13 and older) for personal money management. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
